Since 1990, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has taken over 430 teachers out to sea on its fleet of research ships through the Teacher At Sea program.  This program offers both teachers and students the opportunity to work directly with scientists from all over the United States and the world on some of the most important and innovative research being conducted today.  Click here to find out more about the program.  This is Jacob Tanenbaum's second voyage through the TAS program.  You can read about his first voyage here.
