Thanks for all your great comments and suggestions. It is exactly two weeks before I leave. I'm going to load a few pictures of our area on the blog so people everywhere can see the difference when I get to Alaska and start posting photos. Here are some pictures of the forests around the Hudson River here in New York. What do you think the land in Alaska will look like? Our environment includes forest, the Hudson River and another important area. Do you know what it is? Click the top photo to enlarge it and see if you can spot the area that I'm talking about. It is brown and sticks out into the Hudson towards the top of the photograph. Post to the blog if you know what it is.

I think you should whear lots and lots of layers. That way you will create insulation and it will keep you warm and toasty while you have fun. Also, don't forget to layer when you sleep. If you neglect to do that you will most likely have a 90% chance of getting frost bite. Trust me, it happened to my friend. Have fun.

I won't use my real name, just the name I go by at home. I hope you have fun on your trip. Will you be able to ask the captain if he/she could tell us what he/she does for a living. Do they do the boat trip for a living? Could you where a shirt that says "Save the Whales"? Since you're giong there, you might as well wear something that helps animals. Send back pictures of sea canaries and other animals. I am a animal lover.
Hi Mr.T! The electronics you should bring are waterproof video camera and a waterproof camera!Make sure you bring exttra batteries because if you run out of film,you'll have some!Hope you have fun!
