Your group will consist of 4 to 5 members. Each member has a specific job. Your group, topic, and job will be assigned by your teacher. Look below to find the role each person will play in the project:

Individual Jobs
Each group member is responsible for his or her topic(s) and pages. Topics will be assigned by Mr. Goldstein
Each group member will research their topic and then write and article on the topic.
Each group member will create a page for the magazine that includes pictures, facts, and follow questions that students reading the magazine can answer.
Group Jobs
The group will have an Editor-in-Chief, layout designer, editor, creative artist
The editor in chief answers directly to Mr. Goldstein. He or she is to give overall approval of the final product before it is submitted. He or she is to keep all group members motivated and focused on the task. The Editor in chief will be chosen by Mr. Goldstein.
The layout designer is the person responsible for deciding the order of the pages in the magazine and gives overall approval for pictures and individual page layout. This includes font sizes and styles. The person should have an eye for what “looks good”.
The editor of the magazine is responsible for proofreading the information writen by each group member. He or she will point out mistakes in spelling and grammar. The editor will also make sure that all articles are age appropriate, and will point out plagiarism.
The creative artist is responsible for cover design (front and back), and the creation of fun activities that will be included in the magazine.
