The MILLER FREEMAN is a research vessel operated by the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration. It is a self-contained floating laboratory designed
to travel to remote locations in order to conduct research. The vessel holds 45
crew members including 11 scientists, medical personnel, cooks, a captain and a
full crew. There are 7 different scientific
laboratories on board the vessel. The MILLER FREEMAN carries 3 smaller
boats that also assist in doing research.
