Activity 2

Rubric Session 1 Session 2

Session 2 For the second week of the course, you will be visiting teachers' websites from around the United States to get ideas for your own website.

Now that you have taken a look at what other teachers and school districts are doing with the web, lets start to plan your own pages.

3 ideas for static pages:  Static pages add richness to a site without requiring regular maintenance.  They can make a site comprehensive and useful.  What information will you include in your site?  Please some detail about the information you want to convey on each page

3 ideas for dynamic pages:  Remember, dynamic pages will need to be updated on a regular basis. They are the most cumbersome to maintain.  They also are the reason people will keep coming back to your site.  What dynamic information will you include on your site?  Please post detail about the information you want to convey on each page.

3 ideas for "bells and whistles:"  Bells and whistles is a term used to describe the fancy decorations that move, sing, talk and otherwise make a site fun.  Remember, too many of these can make a site slow or can distract the visitor from the information you are trying to convey.  How many of these will you  add?

Please visit the Myschoolonline homepage and find teachers from around the country at your grade level.  What did you like or night like about their sites?
